  45. RTS/CTS is the only kind of flow control that really works on a high-speed
  46. modem connection, but Ultrix does not support it.  Therefore you have to use
  47. Xon/Xoff.  But Xon/Xoff (a) has latency, and (b) is subject to loss or
  48. corruption.  The VERY BEST that you can do is to ensure that Xon/Xoff is
  49. enabled LOCALLY between your Ultrix system and the modem it is attached to,
  50. NOT end-to-end between Ultrix and the computer all the way at the other end
  51. of the connection.  This means you must configure your modem for LOCAL
  52. Xon/Xoff flow control.  Again, please read "Using C-Kermit" on this topic.
